In 1994, Gabriela and Mathieu Sismann opened their first stand at the Puces de Saint-Ouen. In 1995, they founded their gallery in Paris. From the Louvre des Antiquaires to the prestigious Quai Voltaire, over the course of their thirty-year career, they forged their reputation as leaders in the international market for ancient sculpture, and became a reference point for clients, amateurs and professionals alike, who were committed to this niche field. Located opposite the Pavillon Flore, where the couple met on the benches of the Ecole du Louvre, the Galerie Sismann is now a unique venue devoted indiscriminately to European sculpture from the Middle Ages, the Renaissance, the Classical and Baroque periods through to the end of the 18th century.
