"OUR ANCESTORS THE GOTHICS"

Gabriela and Mathieu Sismann, keen on mise en scène , present, sensitively and with originality, artists' sacred and pagan repertoire in France during the Middle Ages throughout about 50 works.

Their selection of sculptures and of works of art tend to show that the Middle Ages are not only a dark period of wars, famines and the other plagues.
Of course, terrifying gargoyles and other architectural elements are exposed, but is especially advanced a world of elegance embodied in particular by the image of the Virgin and the Child.
In other words, the expression of the world reborn in the hope of childhood...
Are thereby confronted the Medieval symbolic Bestiary and the sophisticated minor arts of the Court.
